10-Minute Office Makeup: Polished, Professional and Effortless

Workday makeup has one job: to make you look awake, put-together and like yourself. That takes ten minutes, six products and a repeatable order.

Minute One: Prep

Moisturiser and SPF are non-negotiable and double as primer. Give them sixty seconds to sink in while you brush your teeth — makeup applied over wet skincare pills and slides off by lunch.

Minutes Two to Four: Skin

Use a tinted moisturiser or a sheer foundation applied only where you need it — centre of the face, around the nose, chin. Spot-conceal blemishes and the inner corners under the eyes with a small brush, then tap with a finger to blend. Set only the T-zone with a light dusting of powder.

Minutes Five and Six: Brows

Brows frame everything. Brush hairs upward with a spoolie, fill sparse gaps with light hair-like strokes in a shade close to your natural colour, and set with a clear or tinted gel. Neat brows read as polished even with no other makeup.

Minutes Seven and Eight: Eyes

One matte neutral shadow one or two shades deeper than your skin, swept through the crease and blended out. Tightline with a brown pencil rather than heavy black liner, then two coats of mascara on the upper lashes after curling. Soft and awake, not evening.

Minutes Nine and Ten: Colour

Cream blush on the apples of the cheeks blended towards the temple gives instant health, and cream sits more naturally on skin than powder. Finish with a tinted balm or a satin lipstick in a your-lips-but-better shade. A spritz of setting spray locks the whole thing.

Making It Last Until 6pm

Blot with tissue rather than adding powder, keep the lip product in your bag for one reapplication after lunch, and choose long-wear formulas for the products that fail first — usually foundation on the T-zone and lip colour.

The Five-Minute Version

On a bad morning: SPF, concealer where needed, brow gel, mascara, tinted balm. Five products, five minutes, and nobody will know it was not the full routine.
